I did that just now, very informative and if you produce a great game the chances are you'll profit. The only major downside is achievements. Most gamers particularly Xbox 360 owners care about that meaningless score but since they can't be included in homebrew developed games most people parting with their MS points will feel less reluctant as they usually expect a gain in another form. However, if a game sells efficiently with the service then its down to great game design and usability, which for a developer is an encouraging prospect for later projects.
just my $0.02...
I can see why they left achievements out of XNA, there would definitely be games released that traded on the fact that playes can get achievements easily by playing them, a bit like the people on ebay that used to sell good feeddback. I don't really follow my achievement score, but a lot of people like achievements - the fact that the PS3 has just added them means that folks must see them as a draw.
I'm pretty sure that game developers will be keeping a close eye on what comes up via the Creators Club. Even if your game doesn't sell millions, it is still a great thing to have out there to show potential employers.
I definately agree. There would always be the games developer that would've made a game just for a few additional points on their meaningless score atleast this way it is forcing developers to care about each and every aspect of their game. Millions or not, getting it into the Xbox Live Community Games area would be fantastic, just for exposures sake alone it'll be good.
